I'll admit it- I'm a bit obsessed with podcasts! However, I am incredibly picky about the shows that I subscribe to. There are a number of reasons why I will not subscribe to a podcast; the biggest being poor audio quality.
Over the past few years, I have checked out a number of bookish shows, but only ended up subscribing to a handful. So I would happily accept any recommendations in the comments section below!
The following are my five favorite bookish podcasts.
My Favorite Bookish Podcasts
All The BooksAll The Books is hosted by Liberty Hardy and Rebecca Schinsky. In this show, the two ladies discuss the books that are releasing on that specific day, giving their thoughts and opinions about the books. Before they end the episode, they discuss what each of them are going to read next.
This podcast is my absolute favorite bookish podcast. I will admit that I am pretty horrible with figuring out what books are going to be published soon, so this podcast helps me to stay on top of things.
I love how short and sweet each episode is and I absolutely adore the two hosts. Their discussions are always so much fun to listen to! But be warned, you will find yourself adding a ton of books to your TBR list!

Book Riot- The PodcastBook Riot- The Podcast is hosted by Rebecca Schinsky and Jeff O’Neill. In this podcast, the hosts discuss anything that is going on in the book world. They also have a few episodes that are dedicated specifically to book recommendations.
I really enjoy this podcast because it helps me to stay on top of bookish news. I really appreciate that the hosts break down the news stories and fully talk them through to both explain what exactly the story means and what their personal thoughts about it are. And of course, as an analytics person, I really appreciate that they discuss and break down statistics every now and again.

So Many Damn BooksSo Many Damn Books is hosted by Christopher Hermelin and Drew Broussard.
First of all, their opening is absolutely adorable. The first time I heard it, I busted out laughing.
I also really love the laid back discussion format of this show. It's a great podcast to put on when you're looking to just listen in on a wonderful discussion.

OverdueOverdue is hosted by Andrew Cunningham and Craig Getting. The whole premise of this podcast makes me chuckle: “While Andrew and Craig believe the joy of discovery is crucial to enjoying any well told tale, they will not shy away from spoiling specific story beats when necessary. Plus, these are books you should have read by now."
I love listening to these two because I feel like I could be best friends with them! Their content is awesome and they cover a wide variety of books. I’ve downloaded all the episodes that cover books I have already read. I’ve also added a number of books they discuss to my TBR just so I can check out the podcast after reading!

The Bookrageous PodcastThis podcast has unfortunately ended. However, I would still recommend checking out their backlist. 19 of the episodes are available on iTunes and the rest of their backlist can be found on PodBean.
When I first discovered this show, I cruised through their back list within a couple of weeks. I love that they started each podcast discussing the books that they are all currently reading before diving in to their new content. And what an excellent crew! I will definitely be missing this podcast.
